The I.C.F. Travelers Club was formed in the Spring of 2000.
Albert Bernardi, a member of Br. 425, Green Valley, AZ and Tucson Area Deputy, was the founder of the RV Club.

The current President is Al Gamboni, a member of Br. 31, Dos Palos, and can be contacted at (209) 392-2254. The Secretary/Treasurer is Louise De Tomasi, a member of Br. 14, Crockett, and can be contacted at (707) 864-2726.

The Club is dedicated to the Catholic Faith, Italian Heritage and a love of traveling and good food as well as holding to the ideals of the Italian Catholic Federation.

There are 23 current members and they are always looking for more. You must be an I.C.F. member to join and dues are $24.00 a year to help cover the cost of postage, flyers, pictures, etc.

  • There are 2 RV Rallies a year in the Spring and the Fall.
  • The Rallies occur at different sites and last for 4 days.
  • They start on a Wednesday and end on a Sunday.
  • There are 4 breakfasts and 4 dinners.
  • The cost of each rally averages around $260.00 per RV. This contributes towards the cost of the site, hook-up, food, etc.

Bocce and Pedro are part of the fun of the rallies. The group tours local areas of interest at the site where they meet and usually on the Saturday the group attends Mass at a local Catholic Church and then has dinner at a restaurant. Other nights have themes for dinner such as Mexican, Barbecue and Friday night is a group potluck. They invite members from the local ICF Branches to join them for one dinner during the rally at the site.

Some of the areas the group has visited include:

  • In Arizona: Green Valley and Lake Havasu
  • In California: Chula Vista, Eureka, Half Moon Bay, Pismo Beach, San Juan Bautista, Solvang
  • In Nevada: Las Vegas and Reno
  • In Oregon: Bend

The next rally from Oct. 1st - Oct. 5th will be in Petaluma, CA at the Petaluma KOA Kampground. Members without an RV can join in this venture as the Kampground has nice log cabins near the rally site.

In the Spring of 2009 the group is planning a rally in Southern California and in the Fall of 2009 they are heading to Colorado.

The group donates to the Programs of the I.C.F. such as Cooley's Anemia and Gifts of Love. They also make memorial donations in honor of deceased members.
