ICF Convention 2009 -- The Living Dream Continues

Great event; good facility! The Double Tree Hotel gave amazing service. Many people came and experienced the ICF Dream.

Most Rev. Richard Garcia, bishop of Monterey, celebrated the Friday morning Mass. Most Reverend Joseph A. Pepe Bishop of the diocese of Las Vegas was with us the whole weekend and he celebrated along with concelebrants the memorial Mass on Saturday. Most Reverend Patrick McGrath, bishop of San Jose, California, who attended the banquet, our host bishop, was the main celebrant on Sunday, along with Most Reverend Randolph Calvo, bishop of the Reno diocese, Most Reverend Stephen E. Blaire, bishop of the Stockton diocese, and Most Reverend Joseph A. Pepe Bishop of the diocese of Las Vegas, Nevada and ICF chaplains and local priests. Most Reverend Salvatore Cordileone, the new bishop of the diocese of Oakland was present at the banquet on Saturday. Many priests, deacons and chaplains of the ICF were participants throughout the convention. The mood of all the people was uplifting and the spirit of the ICF Dream filled all hearts. Everyone worked hard to accomplish a very successful convention.

Many veteran members in the ICF participated. What made the Dream more awesome was the increasing number of younger members. The Dream is alive and well. The future of the ICF which welcomes as members not only people of Italian descent, but any Catholic who wishes to participate in the outreach and goals of the ICF. THE DREAM CONTINUES…
