Convention Hotel Space Limited: Reseveration Deadline Looming The 2007 Italian Catholic Federation Convention will this year take place in balmy Scottsdale, Arizona, Friday, August 31, 2007 to Monday, September 3, 2007. The Deadline for Room Reservations at the Chaparel Suites Resort is Friday, August 10, 2007. After this date, the Hotel will offer rooms based on Hotel guestroom availability only. The deadline is the same for the overflow hotel -- The Days Inn, Scottsdale Fashion Square Resort. Please take the time to make your reservation before all spaces are taken. The ICF does not have a contract with any airline, but the best bet as of the Bolletino deadline was using online websites like hotwire.com for great deals. During the course of two weeks the roundtrip airfare price dropped from $340 to $180 flying from the SF Bay Area into Phoenix. ICF Annual Convention Bocce Tournament WHEN: Thursday, August 30, 2007 WHERE: Chaparral Conference Center TIME: Registration 1:00 - Play Begins 1:30 COST: $3 We will be playing inside the conference center on the rug with the lines taped. NO wood boards. Teams will be created randomly and announced at registration. First, second, and third place medals will be awarded. Reservations much be in the ICF Office by August 17 - no later. Informal Game of Golf The Concierge at the Chaparral Suites Hotel in Scottsdale can make arrangements for those who would like to play a game of golf on Friday, August 31, 2007. At this time, it is uncertain as to the golf course. We are asking for a tee time early in the morning, possibly, at around 6:30 A.M. The price is $60.00 which includes a golf cart. We will play "Bingo, Bango, Bongo" (optional). In order to make definite arrangements, we need to know how many golfers are interested. We ask that you sign up below and send in your reservation to the I.C.F. office before Friday, July 20, 2007. We will then contact you with the final arrangements. An authentic Arizona 1880's Town for an exciting trip back in Time Date: Thursday, August 30, 2007 Place: Chandler, Arizona Buses will leave the Chaparral at 5:45 P.M. for the approximately 45 minute ride. You will have 30 to 45 minutes to explore the town. Dinner will be served at 7:30 P.M. in the Steakhouse. A Western Band and Dance Floor are provided. Menu: ½ BBQ Chicken, Tossed Salad, Cowboy Beans, Fresh Seasoned Vegetables, Assorted Dinner Rolls, Ice Cream, Coffee and Iced Tea. Price: $40.00/Person (including transportation) NO REFUNDS. *Please Note: Each bus holds 55 people. We are starting at a minimum of 2 buses = 110 people. Make your reservations soon. Casino Arizona<br> For those who would like to try their "LUCK" we have free transportation to this beautiful Casino located just 20 minutes from the Chaparral Suites Resort Hotel.
