ICF Committee Goals for 2009
by Michelle Feldman
Editor
As we begin a new calendar year the chairpersons of the various committees within the Italian Catholic Federation individually created a list of goals and aspirations for their programs and the ICF for 2009.
Executive Committee
As Grand President of the Italian Catholic Federation and chairman of the Executive Committee it is my goal to see to it that the visions and goals of the committees are not only attainable, but successful. It is my goal to create an environment of sustainability for the ICF for future generations.
Mike Rossi
Deputy Program
Dear District and Branch Deputies,
This year as head of the Deputy Program, I have several goals and they all involve you, your experience and your dedication to the Federation.
First, I would like to see a Deputy in every branch. I know that most branches have Deputies, but if your branch needs a Deputy, ask your District Deputy to provide you with one.
Second, District Deputies, please provide your Deputies with adequate training. Training is available through the Central Council. Training is available through the Workshop Committee and Membership Committee of the Central Council. Also, I am available to work with you and your Deputies for training.
Third, I want the Deputies to be Mentors to the Branch President and Board, and be available to offer suggestions, help with problems, be a listener and share ideas.
Have a great year and thanks for all that you do for the Federation.
Jim Jones
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee goals/wishes include:
-each Branch plan an event in June for "Member Appreciation Month"
-increase the number of new members and decrease the number of delinquent and canceled memberships
-each Branch and District President appoint a Membership Chairperson and return their '09 membership questionnaire
-each Branch attempts to host a membership drive (please ask us for help if it is needed)
-youth members sign-up for the pen-pal program
Last, but not least, the committee would like to plan a no-host trip (maybe a cruise) for ICF Members and their families.
Best wishes for a successful 2009!
