Grand President's December Address by Michael Rossi My fellow brothers and sisters in the Italian Catholic Federation, the holidays are upon us as the year 2008 draws to a close. December brings with it the most joyous religious celebrations of Advent and Christmas, reminding us that this is the season of rebirth, renewal, and hope for the future. As with all things, time has changed the ICF, but our ideals and values are as strong now as they were when Sir Luigi Providenza and Father Bandini were inspired to create our wonderful organization. This year we have seen a great rebirth as two new branches came to be, and our membership numbers have taken a very positive turn. The Federation continues to renew and grow by supporting our branches and looking for growth opportunities in Arizona, Nevada, Illinois, and California. Please pray that we are successful in helping troubled branches and in opening new branches. I appreciate all that you do in your own branches Many of you, have dedicated many years of support, working quietly and not asking for praise, you have seen to it that the work gets done and have a good time while giving of yourselves. This rebirth of the ICF is as much yours as anyone else's. The rewards we receive for years of hard work is to see the organization that you love thrive and prosper for years to come. Let me once again, thank each and every one of you for your commitment to the ICF. I truly am grateful for everything you do, as well as your support and friendship. Throughout the ICF, we have just finished celebrating a number of Bishop's Days. We pray for vocations, young men who are the new generation of priests. In them we look for spiritual guidance and support through our lives. It is only fitting that we show our support to them as they embark on their life's calling. Look forward to your branch and district Christmas parties and take this opportunity - that comes but once a year - to marvel at the wonder of Christ's birth. Marcie and I will be spending Christmas with our families. We wish all of you the best Christmas blessings, and hope you share the feelings of goodwill and glad tidings with the ones you love.
