85 Years... The Dream Lives On
Convention Theme for 2009

A dream is something that somebody hopes, longs, or is ambitious for, usually something difficult to attain or far removed from present circumstances. That is what the dictionary says. Many people started with a dream and accomplished great feats, such as, Columbus discovering America, Vasco de Gama sailing around the world; the climbing of Mt. Everest; the American Revolution in 1776. Martin Luther King gave his life to accomplish his dream for civil rights. The ICF started with a dream of Luigi Providenza and Father Albert Bandini to protect the faith of the Italian immigrants. Their dream came true. The Italians are grounded in their faith. The purpose of the ICF has now evolved into a Faith Sharing, Charitable group which helps fund causes and people in need. The ICF welcomes as members people of all nationalities but at the same time maintains the Italian culture, heritage, music and above all its cuisine.

I am proud of this wonderful group of people that give of their time, talent and treasure…….all on a volunteer basis. May God bless the ICF always.
